I have a compulsion to cite the Girl Scout Oath here, (trustworthy, loyal & kind?) all of which are true , but just maybe you would like to know more! I believe that life is to be celebrated in all of its' aspects. I am an optimist with a healthy dose of pragmatism thrown into the mix. I always find the humor in life. My friends would tell you that I am friendly, open and usually pretty comfortable being me. I cherish my friends and family and my docent job at a wild life museum. I love to read and to travel. Here and there and everywhere! I roam our great museums. I also love boats and the water. I do a great first mate!

What kind of person are you interested in meeting?
Are you kind, have a sense of humor and integrity? Super! Are you intellectually curious with flashes of adventure? And common sense is a wonderful trait. Are you a cuddle bear? And can you walk and hike with me. That isn't too overwhelming is it?

What sort of relationship would you like at this point in your life.
Whatever works. I'm flexible. Living separately, but mostly together, living together, marriage. Monogamy is a must, though. I don't share very well!

I have two daughters, two sons in law and 5 amazing grand kids ranging from 3 months to 9 years. Love all of them. One family lives in NW Montana and the other lives on Maui

Where have you lived and traveled so far? Where would you like to go?
My home base has always been CA, essentially the Bay Area since college. I have been fortunate to be able to travel. I have loved snorkeling from a bare boat in the Virgin Islands, visiting some of the great capitals and the wonderful little towns of Europe. I want to do Venice and Paris again and Barcelona is wonderful. I have been to Cambodia, Jordan and India (and points in between). It has been a great way to learn and to understand different cultures.
I also love hiking Pt. Reyes and Yosemite in the Fall when the crowds are gone. Try hiking Yosemite at night in September on a full moon! Pure magic.

Name some of your all-time favorite music / movies / TV / books.
I like jazz and classical and a lot in between. I have season tix to the SF symphony.
Love movies! But I need a message or a purpose or a great storyline with a Newman or a Hepburn or a Streep type.
My TV is Public Television and I'm hooked on West Wing.
Last book was Kite Runner (historical novel on Afghanistan). I belong to book clubs.

What type of work do you do? Do you enjoy it?
Just out of UCB, I was an idealistic social worker in
West Oakland. Then I was a full time Mom for a lot of years and morphed into sales to corporations when the girls went to college. Now, I do a lot of volunteer work, with my favorite thing being a docent at a wild-life museum. I get to interpret our wild animals and the environment to classes of 5 year olds to 20ish year olds.

What do you enjoy doing for fun?
I love to walk and hike which allows me to eat great food and not gain weight! I also enjoy cooking and entertaining groups or one special person. I really love to read and discuss issues great and small. I adore a new adventure either locally, nationally, or internationally.
And I would especially enjoy finding a great guy with whom to share all of my likes and also his passions. I believe that mutual interests are important but secondary to basic values.

What do you hate doing?
Taxes!

Tell about where you grew up or where you are from.
Grew up in a suburb of Pasadena, went to UCB and stayed in this beautiful part of our state.

Do you have pets? Tell about them.
I have had dogs, horses, cats and every thing that 4-H deemed necessary for the optimal existence of my two daughters. I don't have any critters now and I miss my affectionate, funny Dobermann.

A functional computer (I know, I know), a first aid kit, and does my sweetie qualify as an item?

How is your physical shape? What do you do to keep in shape?
Quite good. I have really lucky genetics. I walk our trails nearly every day and I do the gym (less regularly). I
